當代劇場全才奇女子,集編、導、演、教學、寫作於一身,擁有超過廿年的舞台創作、演出及劇團營運經驗;一雙觀人於微的慧眼及精闢的藝術視野吸引眾多學生敲門求學,桃李滿門;其藝術成就和貢獻備受肯定,主要獎項包括:

  • 香港藝術發展局「2014香港藝術發展獎──年度藝術家獎(戲劇)」

  • 第十四屆香港舞台劇獎(2005)最佳女主角(喜劇/鬧劇)

  • 香港藝術發展局「2003香港藝術發展獎──藝術新進獎(戲劇)」

  • 第九屆香港舞台劇獎(2000)最佳女主角(喜劇/鬧劇)

  • 第二屆香港舞台劇獎(1993) 最佳女配角(喜劇/鬧劇)

  • 亞洲文化協會獎學金(2000),並遠赴美國考察

甄氏早年於香港演藝學院畢業後,便遠赴英、法跟隨名師Philippe Gaulier及Monika Pagneux等研習演技及形體訓練。回港後於1993年參與創辦「劇場組合」;2008年脫離政府資助,成立「PIP文化產業」;2010年創辦「甄詠蓓戲劇工作室」為其個人作品樹立鮮明旗幟,並與不同單位及藝術家合作。2013年與黃秋生、張珮華共同創辦「神戲劇場」,擔任聯合藝術總監。

她的作品風格獨特,聰穎幽默,詩意中帶來深切感悟,早期創作及演出過的代表作包括《兩條老柴玩遊戲》、《遊園》、《廁客浮士德》等;其中《兩條老柴玩遊戲》曾被邀到日本、台灣及上海等地巡迴演出,台灣評論家胡燿恆先生稱許:「這無疑是世界級的演出」。

近年她專注導演工作,作品包括「神戲劇場」年度作品《搞大電影》(2017,黃秋生、林海峰、韋羅莎主演)、《仲夏夜之夢》(2016、2017,香港及新加坡,黃秋生、余安安等主演)、《狂揪夫妻》(黃秋生、潘燦良、吳君如(2015首演)、蘇玉華(2016重演)主演)、《EQUUS馬》(2014,黃秋生、張敬軒主演)、新視野藝術節2014《黑色星期一》、2011新加坡華文小劇場節及2012台北藝術節《阿Q後傳》及香港藝術節2012《野豬》(莊梅岩編劇,黃子華、林嘉欣及廖啟智主演),贏盡口碑和票房;中國國家一級評論家林克歡先生於觀劇後評《EQUUS馬》:「導演處理從容不迫、寬裕大度」、「令人震撼又感人肺腑,讓人一窺香港商業劇場與實驗劇場有機融合所能達到的新高度」。

她並致力於培養演藝人才,除定期開辦專業演技課程,亦經常與本地及海外機構合作,分享藝術經驗和心得。


Renowned multi-talented artist in the field of Asian contemporary theatre, Yan is a playwright, director, actress, teacher and writer. Soon after her graduation at Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, she ventured to the United Kingdoms and France to study acting and physical theatre under masters like Philippe Gaulier and Monika Pagneux, opening up her horizons in contemporary theatre.

Upon her return to Hong Kong in 1993, Yan cofounded Theatre Ensemble (later transformed to PIP Cultural Industries Ltd.). and had produced numerous influential local drama productions. She established O Theatre Workshop to distinguished her works, including those collaborations with artists from different disciplines. In 2013, she joined hands with Wong Chau Sang Anthony to found Dionysus Contemporary Theatre.

Well-recognized for her achievements in theatre, Yan has been awards numerous industry prizes, including Hong Kong Arts Development Awards Artist of the Year (DRAMA) (2014) AND Rising Artist Award (Drama) (2003), Hong Kong Drama Awards Best Actress (2000 & 2005) and Best Supporting Actress (1993), and Asian Cultural Council Fellowship (1999).

Her works are known for their deep insights with a poetic style. She was invited to perform a number of her works in Japan, Shanghai, Singapore and Taiwan in recent years. Yan is committed to re-invent drama classics with contemporary aesthetics, her works include EQUUS, A Midsummer Night's Dream, You Yuan, Faust auf dem Klosett - Epic toilet opera and The Game.

Yan is also passionate about arts education. She founded PIP school and O Kids Performing Arts School, and gives workshops for overseas institutions and professional theatre groups, including the Department of Arts at the Shenzhen University (Shenzhen), Theatre Practice (Singapore) and U Theatre (Taiwan), etc.
